He stressed the significance of joining the efforts of the international community to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and its negative consequences on the global economy and people.
The head of the state additionally highlighted the importance of cooperation between Tunisia and the European Union to recover stolen funds placed abroad.
For his part, the Portuguese Prime Minister noted that Tunisia is “a model of success in the region” in terms of democratic transition.
He repeated Portugal’s willingness to continue supporting Tunisia within the framework of the various European structures.
