Speaking at a today plenary session, house speaker Rached Ghannouchi assessed that the rally movements that have recently exploded in the four corners of Tunisia display the suffering of civilians as a result of the social and economic consequences of the health crisis connected to the Coronavirus.
He also acknowledged the right to protest peacefully and to express oneself freely, cautioning against the risk of harming public and private properties.
According to him, the young protesters are victims of the failure of the educational and social system and the administration and reintegration of these young people is a common responsibility of the state with the assistance of civil society.
