The director in charge of relations with the citizen at the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company (STEG) Mounir Ghabri told the TAP agency that STEG yesterday registered a peak in electricity consumption after high consumption in air conditioners due to the dramatic increase in temperatures.
He added that STEG recorded a peak of 4,434 megawatts opoosed a peak of 4,025 last year. The official, therefore, called on citizens to fix the air conditioning level to 26 ° C while avoiding using different devices at the same time.
