Speaking to the TAP, the UGTT spokesperson Sami Tahri announced the UGTT had received a second authorization to hold its exceptional Congress. He said rapid tests reported only 2 coronavirus infections in two participants, pointing out that a team affiliated with the Sousse regional health directorate had confirmed the proper application of the health protocol by the organizers.
The deputy secretary-general of the UGTT disputed that the organization had received any notification from the public prosecutor of the Sousse court of first instance to halt the Congress, stating that all complaints against the UGTT congress have been dismissed.
