Tunisia-Security forces will ensure the application of lockdown measures, says Interior ministry

Security forces will ensure the application of lockdown measures, the Interior Ministry announced on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, urging citizens to rigorously observe travel restrictions.

In a press release, the Ministry of the Interior assures that “the security forces will secure the application of the measures, announced yesterday by the Ministry of Health, which decreed general lockdown of four days from January 14 to 17 during of which a curfew will be observed from 4 p.m. to 6 a.m., in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

In this context, the Ministry of the Interior recalled that it will be banned to move between 4 p.m. and 6 a.m. and that all travel between regions will also be prohibited except in the case of holding a permit. The department also recalls that all events, sporting, cultural and others will be prohibited and that all restaurants and cafes, all categories included, will have to be closed.
