The judicial research units of the National Guard in the Sidi Bouzid district, strengthened by the region’s rapid intervention units and with help from a team of the Ministry of Commerce, successfully seized around 10 tonnes of subsidized flour, valued at 8,000 dinars. This seizure was made following a raid on a clandestine warehouse in the area, where the flour was being held for sale outside the official distribution channels.
In a related context, units of the anti-delinquency sub-directorate of the judicial affairs directorate of the National Guard in Ben Arous were able to seize 6,000 eggs planned for sale outside the legal framework, following a search carried out in a clandestine warehouse in the Sidi Hassin region of Tunis.
After examination, the Public Prosecutor’s Office authorized the adoption of the required legal measures against the offenders, according to a report published by the General Directorate of the National Guard, today Thursday.
