Tunisia-Seven open places to the public closed in Tunis for non-compliance with preventive measures against COVID-19

The governor of Tunis, Chadly Bouallègue, announced on Friday that regional authorities immediately closed 7 stores open to the public on Thursday due to their violation of coronavirus prevention measures and their failure to comply with health protocol and procedures announced.

Bouallègue explained that most of the closure decisions concerned cafes that did not comply with the hookah ban and physical distancing.

The governor added that the closure decisions will last for up to 6 months, stressing that the law will be enforced against any recorded violations.

He also highlighted the approval of a 60 dinar fine against anyone who does not wear a protective mask.
