A shipment of phosphate imported from Algeria will arrive in Tunisia at the end of September.
In a statement to the Al Wataniya I, the director-general of the chemical complex, Abdelwahab Ajroud, affirmed that this procedure is exceptional and circumstantial in order to create a reserve stock and to fulfil the obligations until the necessary quantities of the phosphate company Gafsa are available.
Ajroud explained that there is a respectable amount of crude phosphate at the Gafsa Phosphate Company, pointing out that if the problem of phosphate transport is resolved and its transport movement resumed on the railroad, the necessary phosphate will be supplied to the Tunisian Chemical Complex.
