Tunisia-Situation of Tunisians in Libya

The Tunisian ambassador in Tripoli declared, this Wednesday, in a statement to the national TV channel that the embassy obtained a good number of telephone calls from Tunisia, from citizens requesting news of their loved ones in Libya after having lost all contact with them. He confirmed that the embassy has made telephone numbers available to Tunisians to enable them to ask for or give news. He added that the embassy will send a consular team tomorrow to Benghazi to observe the situation more closely situation of Tunisians in the eastern region of Libya.

The ambassador added that they have, at this time, no official confirmation of the deaths of Tunisian nationals.
