Political analyst Slaheddine Jourchi remarked on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, on the decision to lift Noureddine Bhiri’s house arrest. Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Jourchi confirmed that this decision was correct, especially with the decline of his state of health and that placing him under house arrest in this way was an error that could have cost dearly to Tunisia.
He also condemned the maintenance of the latter, for more than 70 days without any specific charges against him by the supervisory authority. The political analyst likewise felt that this decision arouses astonishment, emphasising that the authority is called upon to prove that it does not take any random decision against anyone without having supporting evidence because this type of practice is incompatible with human rights.
