Tunisia – Sousse: Unknown steals money and documents from wrecked police car

A road accident happened yesterday near Sousse, involving an automobile from the Jendouba National Guard district, which was transporting an accused to Medenine. The driver of the vehicle was seriously wounded, while the condition of his attendant was considered stable.

The defendant fled the accident unscathed. Officials later became aware of the disappearance of a sum of money owed to the defendant and of the identity papers of the officers, as well as a quantity of fuel vouchers. It appears that someone took advantage of the crowd that assembled around the vehicle just after the accident to steal these goods.
