Tunisia- Suspension of the engineers’ strike

The president of the council of the Tunisian Order of Engineers, Kamel Sahnoun today declared the stoppage of the strike by public sector engineers, which started approximately 3 months ago.

Kamel Sahnoun stated that this decision was exerted in order not to harm the interests of Tunisians, emphasising that the continuation of the strike would harm many sectors.

Note that the engineers did not receive any serious promises from the government concerning their claims.
