During a speech delivered today at the workers’ rally held in Kasbah, the UGTT secretary general Noureddine Taboubi, welcomed the “revolutionary decision” taken by the president of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, to put an end to subcontracting.
He recollected that the UGTT had concluded agreements with the competent authorities to put an end to forms of precarious employment.
“But afterwards, what will be the fate of these workers? “, asked Taboubi, recalling that a commission will be created to evaluate the impact of the ban on subcontracting, according to the presidency of the government.
“It is, however, required to put in place effective measures to facilitate the professional reintegration of these workers,” declared Taboubi.
