Information officer and deputy public prosecutor at the Tunis Court of First Instance Mohsen Dali announced on Friday, October 30, 2020, that the public Prosecutor’s Office at the judicial counter-terrorism division commanded the opening of ‘investigation. This investigation aims to unveil the whole truth about the existence of a terrorist group called “Al Mahdi in southern Tunisia” and its involvement in the terrorist attack perpetrated Thursday in Nice.
Speaking to the TAP,Dali said the opening of the inquiry comes following a social media post from an individual alleging to be from the “Al Mahdi in southern Tunisia” group who allegedly claimed responsibility for the Nice attack.
