Tunisia-Ticad 8: Arrest of individual who tried to cross security barriers

An individual who attempted to cross the security barriers to Mohamed V avenue, at the beginning of work from the Ticad summit was subdued by the security forces.

The individual was on board a truck before heading to the security barriers and denying to comply with a summons to stop, “said Interior Minister Taoufik Charfeddine, during a meeting with journalists at the National Security Club at Soukra, the governorate of Ariana. The suspect was apprehended in record time, added the minister.

According to the first elements of the inquiry, the individual in question suffers from psychiatric disorders and a grave illness in an advanced stage. The investigation continues, according to the minister.
