Tunisia-Tozeur: 40 contaminations by scarlet fever have been identified

The Deputy Director of Basic Health of Tozeur, Taher Arfa said today that 40 contaminations by scarlet fever have been identified in children between 2 months and 6 years old in the delegation of Hazwa (governorate of Tozeur).

Despite the fact that it is an infectious disease, the disease does not pose any risk to children, he revealed. He said the rash manifests as episodes of fever lasting 3-7 days and affects the extremities of the limbs (mouth, palms and soles of the feet).

Taher Arfa called on those infected to respect social distancing and wash their hands and face while dodging irritants that can damage the skin.
