Tunisia-Tunis-Carthage Airport: Arrest of traveller who swallowed more than 74 cannabis capsules

Customs officials at Tunis-Carthage airport prevented an attempt to smuggle 74 cannabis capsules, discovered in the stomach of a traveller coming from Casablanca.

Preliminary inquiries showed that the latter had hidden 100 capsules in his intestines, orally, according to a statement released by Tunisian customs on January 25, 2021.

After permission from the prosecution, the suspect was captured, according to the same source, who additionally revealed that this is the second such incident in 24 hours.
