Tunisia-Tunis Stock Exchange: Tunindex continues its declines

Market physiognomy

The Tunis Stock Exchange concluded its trading session on Thursday, September 21, 2023, on a negative note. The Tunindex experienced a decline from 1.44% to 8544.93 points, while the Tunindex 20 followed suit with a drop of 1.59%, settling at 3742.76 points. In a session marked by 53 actively traded securities, the balance of variations eaned heavily towards the downside, with 32 stocks witnessing declines as opposed to only 6 showing gains. The total trading volume for the day amounted to 5.1 million Tunisian dinars (MD).

 Behaviour of values

The top performers of the day were STIP and SOTUMAG, with STIP leading the way by surging 2.38% to reach 4.30 Tunisian dinars (D). Not far behind, SOTUMAG also posted a noteworthy increase of 2.32%, closing at 4.86 D. Additionally, OFFICE PLAST and BTE (ADP) encountered gains, with OFFICE PLAST increasing by 1.82% to reach 1.12 D, and BTE (ADP) inching up by 0.76% to reach 5.28 D. CITY CARS made a modest advance of 0.32%, ending the day at 12.49 D.

In the realm of declining stocks, SERVICOM suffered a substantial loss of 5.00%, closing at 0.19 Tunisian dinars (D). It was closely followed by UIB, which saw a substantial decline of 4.58%, ending the day at 22.90 D. ATTIJARI BANK likewise witnessed a significant decrease, shedding 4.57% to reach 41.80 D. BT shares dominated the trading session with the highest transaction volume, processing a notable 1.5 million dinars (MD) in capital. SFBT, on the other hand, saw a total volume of 963 thousand dinars. ATTIJARI BANK’s shares were actively traded, accumulating a total trading volume of 545 thousand dinars. BIAT followed closely with 484 thousand dinars in the trading capital. UIB was also actively negotiated, with a trading volume amounting to 336 thousand dinars.
