Tunisia-Tunisian fighters to be indicted upon arrival from conflict zones

Head of the Tunisian anti-terrorism commission CNLCT, Colonel Mokhtar Ben Nasr confirmed that all Tunisian fighters will be indicted upon their return from conflict zones.

Speaking at a symposium titled “Gender and violent extremism in North Africa: To the root of the problem.”, he said that the country already retrieved four individuals who came back from conflict zones, adding that countries vowed to assist Tunisia in this subject.

Ben Nasr was comforting about the possibility of a return to Tunisia of presumed terrorists.
“There is no reason to worry,” Ben Nasr stated, blaming some media of exaggerating the problem and disturbing the population with misleading and irrational judgments.

He asserted that these individuals will be indicated upon their return, however children under 13 are excluded as the state will take care of them in the event of the loss of their parents.
