Tunisia- U.S. Ambassador to Tunisia Mr.Donald Blome considers Tunisia as a role model in peaceful coexistence.

Accompanied by several Ambassadors and official state figures from around the world. US ambassador to Tunisia, Mr. Donald Blome followed  El Ghriba ‘s pilgrimage in Djerba. He expressed his extreme honor and delight in attending this event. Stating that it establishes Tunisia as a positive role model in the region in the treatment of the Jewish community.  Ambassador Blome further added that the Jewish community preserved its religious practice and culture amid a country that prides itself on the equality of all its citizens regardless of religion.

Furthermore, The celebration of the event reflects a high model of religious pluralism and highlights Tunisia’s long tradition of tolerance and respect of all religion. The commemoration of this event coincides with the holy month of Ramadan.
