Tunisia-UGTT-Sami Tahri: “Nahdhaouis call for the imposition of economic sanctions on Tunisia”

UGTT spokesman Sami Tahri said in a statement to Tap on Wednesday 04 August 2021that Ennahdha party members are calling on foreign countries to inflict economic sanctions on Tunisia.
The UGTT condemned Enahdha’s manoeuvres directed at turning international public opinion against Tunisia by relying on the great powers. Tahri further said that members of the Ennahdha movement are lobbying to exercise pressure on Western countries to meddle in Tunisia’s internal affairs.
Adding that these acts target the sovereignty of the country and could even be accountable to prosecution for treason.
