85 signatures were secured as part of the petition to withdraw confidence from House speaker Rached Ghannouchi, which is far superior to the 73 required to present it to the parliament order desk, Free Destourian Party leader Abir Moussi told Tunisie Numérique.
Moussi pointed out that the Democrat bloc refused to present the petition while carrying the signatures of the members of the Free Destourian Party, stressing that the bloc previously considered the PDL to be a party based on exclusion, something that the democratic bloc is doing with the aim of exercising political manoeuvring for political goals and ambitions.
“These people prioritize their own interests over those of Tunisia and are incapable of overlooking their hatred for the benefit of the higher interest of the state,” said Abir Moussi.
She further noted that the petition was theoretically open to all members notwithstanding the party they belong to.
