Commenting on the removal of five ministers by prime minister Hichem Mechichi, MP Mohamed Ammar concluded that the latter took this decision in a speedy manner.
Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, he affirmed that the controversial ministers could have displayed some courage and stepped down even without provoking more tension. Mohamed Ammar added that the PM has no other choice than to try to gain a resolution with the President of the Republic to manage to surmount this crisis.
Concerning the rumours according to which certain ministers have been appointed by the President of the Republic, the deputy explained that all the ministers were introduced by Mechichi, in accordance with the legal provisions in this area. He assumed that if Hichem Mechichi proceeds to do so, the Ennahdha party will utilise him as a “scapegoat”, as IT has done before with other heads of government, including Habib Essid.
