Tunisia unquestionably did not require a massacre in the heart of its capital, with all the problems it is already grappling with. It is the coolness and the professionalism of the police officers which made it possible to avoid the worst this Friday, November 26, 2021.

The attacker was immediately surrounded, isolated and tracked down carefully without utilising fire, which could have constituted a danger for passers-by. In the end, the individual who carried two bladed weapons – a knife and an axe – was neutralized in the right place, following a shot in the leg.

Very often, under the effect of panic, security staff shoot vital parts; whereas the fact of controlling it enables investigators to extract important information from it on a possible network.
