Tunisia – Waste crisis: El Mahres municipality outlines the start of a solution

Following the environmental crisis in Sfax for several weeks due to the buildup of household waste in the middle of the roads and faced with the absence of an immediate solution, some municipalities are beginning to settle to find solutions to decrease the effects of this crisis.
Therefore, the municipality of El Mahres has advocated reducing household garbage to be collected as much as possible, urging citizens to sort garbage, by separating organic garbage, plastic waste, garden or building waste.
