Turkish health authorities announced on Monday the production of Russia’s COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik V should begin soon in the country, local newspaper Yeni Safak reported quoting a member of the Coronavirus Scientific Advisory Board, Afsin Emre Kayipmaz.
“Turkey is conducting trials of the Russian vaccine, we have received preliminary positive results for some of the phases,” Kayipmaz noted, adding that the jab’s manufacturing cost would be around $10 – nearly the same price as in the case of China’s Sinovac vaccine.
