U.S-New York sees no COVID-19 deaths for first time since March

Health authorities in New York City revealed there were no deaths of the Novel Coronavirus registered citywide on Sunday, making it the first time since early March no new fatalities were reported.

According to the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, while no one died from the disease in the past twenty-four hours, during the time, 341 have tested positive for the virus.

“With cases surging around the country, we know we can’t let our guard down just yet and will continue to do everything we can to fight the virus together,” City Hall spokesperson Avery Cohen said.
