United Kingdom health authorities announced on Monday 22,868 positive COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the highest figure since the end of January 2021. The total amount of cases since the start of the pandemic amounted to 4,732,434 cases.
The death rate has increased by 64.9% in the last week bringing the total number of coronavirus-caused fatalities to 128,100.
