UKMTO announced on Thursday that it received a report regarding an explosion in the waters close to Yemen.
According to the UKMTO, the incident allegedly took place near a ship located 50 nautical miles southwest of the Gulf of Aden in Yemen. As a precautionary measure, the UKMTO advised all ships to “transit with caution and report any suspiciousous activity.”
Furthermore, the agency confirmed that the vessel involved in the incident had not suffered any damage and that the crew members were reported to be safe.
