UN: 4 million Ukrainian refugees expected

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi announced on Friday that 2.5 million Ukrainian refugees have left the country so far, adding that around 2 million are estimated to have been internally displaced.

UNHCR Spokesperson Matthew Saltmarsh said through a video link to reporters in Geneva that “it is quite possible that planning figure of 4 million will be revised up. That wouldn’t be a surprise.”
