US delegation to visit Taiwan on January 14

The United States Trade Representative Office (USTR) shared on Wednesday in a statement that the country’s delegation will be visiting Taiwan from January 14 to January 17, so as to hold an “in-person negotiating round for the US-Taiwan Initiative on 21st-Century Trade in Taipei, Taiwan.”

The USTR stated that it “will lead the U.S. delegation as the designated representative of AIT [American Institute in Taiwan]. The US delegation will be led by Assistant United States Trade Representative Terry McCartin and will include representatives from several other U.S. government agencies.”
