US tornado death toll rises to at least 84

At least 84 people have been killed in tornadoes across the United States, according to the latest data. The affected states include Kentucky with at least 70 fatalities, Missouri, Tennessee, Illinois, and Arkansas. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said the number could exceed 100 in the hours to come.

Six people have so far been confirmed dead at the Amazon.com Inc. warehouse in Edwardsville, Illinois, after a part of the building collapsed. Local authorities said the recovery phase of the response to the incident is expected to last three days and the site will be searched for evidence of life. So far, 45 employees have been evacuated from the warehouse.
