WHO: China COVID wave unlikely to affect Europe

The newest wave of COVID-19 in China is not expected to have a significant impact on Europe, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) regional director for the Old Continent Hans Kluge stated at a press conference on Tuesday.

Commenting on the tightened entry measures several countries imposed on travelers from China, Kluge urged authorities to exercise those in ways that are “rooted in science,” “proportionate,” and “non-discriminatory.”
