World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General stated on Wednesday that the world has “never been in a better position to end” the COVID-19 pandemic than it is now.
“We are not there yet, but the end is in sight,” Tedros told reporters at an online press conference. The WHO said that, according to its records, the planet is seeing the lowest number of infections detected since March 2020. Tedros went on to urge the international community to seize the opportunity.
