WTA – Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open: pair Ons Jabeur – Osaka eliminated from start by Linette and Pera

This Tuesday afternoon, Naomi Osaka and Ons Jabeur failed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the women’s doubles of the WTA 500 Mubadala World Tennis Cup 2024 tournament.

For the round of 16, the two duo, supposed to confront the Chinese pair composed of Zheng Saisai and Wang Xinyu, were eliminated by the pair formed by the Polish Magda Linette (37th singles/55th in doubles WTA) and the American Bernarda Pera (73rd in singles/89th in the world in doubles), on ADCB Court 1, in two sets 6-3 and 6-3, after 1h14′.

In singles, Ons will play against the British Emma Raducanu on Wednesday, February 7, for the round of 16. This game can be followed from 3:30 p.m. (estimated Tunisian time) on beIN SPORTS 3 (fr) and Abu Dhabi Sports 2.
