Tunisia-UGTT shocked of “allegations ” of certain ministers

The Tunisian Labor Union (UGTT) reiterated its call to preserve the law of the people, organizations and parties to take note of the “tacit” contracts concluded between the administration and international financial institutions.

In a press release made public, the UGTT voiced at the end of the meeting of its executive office its conviction of the allegations made by the governor of the central bank and the Minister of Finance, as well as the Minister of Economy and Planning, linking to UGTT participation in the development of the government’s program.

The UGTT is not called upon to respect agreements in which it has not partaken, and which also affect the public interest.

The UGTT has reiterated its refusal of the lifting of subsidies and the privatization of public establishments.

The UGTT again affirmed its attachment to preserving the sustainability of public establishments and cautioned against any unilateral measure which can arouse the anger of the people.
