Kiev says Russian troops must leave to have ‘truce’

Adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mykhailo Podolyak said on Thursday that a “temporary truce,” previously proposed by Kremlin, will only happen once Russia “leaves occupied territories.”

In a further response, Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council Head Oleksiy Danilov said on the air of Ukrainian news Channel 24 that “no negotiations” will take place with Russia, accusing Moscow of “hiding behind some Christian holidays.” “This priest came up with some date. It has nothing to do with us,” Danilov said.
