Tunisia-World Government Summit in Dubai: PM meets several heads of delegations

As part of her participation in the World Government Summit 2023, which began on Monday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and runs unti February 15, Prime Minister Najla Bouden, held a series of meetings with the heads of delegations of several sister countries.

The talks and meetings focused on economic and financial issues in the light of the current world economic situation, which is marked by several challenges and problems.

In this context, the Prime Minister met with Director General of the Arab Monetary Fund, Abd al-Rahman Ben Abdullah al-Hamidi.

They discused the need to further develop the Fund’s activities with the Tunisian State and to review the key reforms undertaken to upgrade the economic sector, particularly in areas of high added value and employability.

Mrs. Bouden also met Minister of Finance of the Sultanate of Oman, Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi.

She discussed ways to promote and diversify areas of bilateral cooperation.

In this context, the two parties reviewed the experiences of their countries in the field of economic empowerment of low-income groups.

The PM also had the opportunity to learn about Oman’s experience with public-private partnerships in the field of electricity generation.

The two parties exchanged views on ways to establish a joint investment fund to take advantage of investment opportunities in both countries.

As part of her participation in the Dubai Summit, the Prime Minister also met with Qatari Minister of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani.

They discussed the state of bilateral cooperation, ways of boosting it in various fields, by making the most of the characteristics and preferential advantages of the two countries, particularly in the field of trade and the promotion of industrial partnership.

The Prime Minister also held talks with a number of heads of delegation, in particular UAE Minister of Economy, Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications and Managing Director of the World Government Summit Omar bin Sultan Al Olama.

She discussed with Emirati officials the prospects for bilateral cooperation and ways to raise it into a privileged partnership.
