Tunisia- Abdellatif Mekki: Possibility of slipping is probable at any moment and we are preparing for the worstcase scenario

Health Minister Abdellatif Mekki announced that Tunisia will likely face a moderate scenario in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, however, he stressed that the country was preparing for the worst-case scenario at the same time.

“There is a calm in the rate of infections, and we confirmed this with rapid test last week in some regions, he said in an interview with the Anadolu Agency.
He added that the plan designed by the health ministry has paid off as well as the plan planed by the Presidency of the Government.

Moreover, he pointed out that many ministries, including the government, have a role in the implementation and success of the national strategy for coronavirus.

Mekki described the process of tackling the COVID-19 as driving a car in a bumpy road., saying that the possibility of slipping is probable at any moment.

He deemed the current result to be temporary, and they can become permanent if the country continues to implement it strategy with accuracy and efficiency.
