The United States has reported 60,209 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the toll of infections to 2,991,351, according to
Johns Hopkins University tally.
The data recorded 1,114 new deaths , taking the death toll to 131,362, while the total number of tests distributed by health workers across the nation reached 36.8 million.
