An explosion hit the Al Arish-Al Qantara natural gas pipeline in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula on Thursday, eyewitnesses and local authorities announced.
The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the gas pipeline blast on its Telegram channel without giving evidence.
North Sinai local authorities stated the fire had been extinguished and it had not affected gas supplies.
