The regional director of health in Sfax, Jaouher Makni, called on Monday, June 28, 2021, for an extensive screening to identify possible cases of Coronavirus infection, calling residents to be tested.
Speaking to the TAP, Jaouher Makni warned against a potential appearance of sources of infection, in particular following the celebrations which took place yesterday in the governorate to commemorate the victory of the Sfaxien Sports Club.
CSS supporters assembled in thousands on Sunday to celebrate their club’s victory. The official evoked that, during the last 24 hours, Sfax had recorded five deaths from Covid-19 and 152 new cases of contamination.
