Tunisia-Voter turnout percentage in Medenine and Tataouine Constituencies

Voter turnout percentages reached 17.23 % till 12: 00 am on Sunday, October 62019,  in Tataouine ‘s polling stations, announced ISIE member Nacer Tayeb in a statement to Tunisie Numérique.

 Tataouine’s electoral district registered 87623 voters distributed over 111 voting centres and 207 pooling stations. Registered electorates will elect four deputies to represent them from a total of 32 lists distributed between 18 parties, 10 coalitions and 4 independent.

Moreover, Borj El Khadra polling station has only 29 registered voters with zero voter turnout in the presidential elections first round, therefore, it was integrated with Basheer al-Nabhani school in Remada.

Voting turnout reached 10.72% in Medeninen by 11:00 stated ISIE regional coordinator Ali Zahmoul.
The percentage of young people (aged 18-25) participating in the voting reached 6.9%. Men and women participation reached a near-equal 3.4% and .3.5% respectively

 

Additionally,The proportion of voters ages 26 to 45 who reported voting reached 33% divided among 12.6% females and 20.4 males.

Age category above 45 reached 60% allocated between 14% for females and 46 males. The voting turnout kicked off slow with more participation from elders.
