The Association of Tunisian Magistrates “AMT” has displayed their outpouring support for Algerian magistrates who began an open-ended strike last Wednesday to demand the independence of the judiciary after a massive reshuffle that has affected thousands.
The AMT firmly condemned practices that violate the dignity of judges that represents one of the highest authorities by forcing them to relinquish their right to demands the establishment of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary.
They further asked the International Association of Judges To act immediately and take all necessary measures to shield the Algerian judges from all violations against them.
