Former United States Secretary of State Madeleine Albright (pictured) died on Wednesday aged 84, her family announced.
She was the first female secretary of state in the history of the American government.
Albright was US Ambassador to the United Nations from 1993 to 1997, and the US secretary of state from 1997 to 2001.
