Tunisia- Tunisian Aya Bouteraa advances to the final of UAE Arab Reading Challenge

Tunisian Aya Bouteraa qualified for the final of the UAE Arab Reading Challenge, scheduled on November 13 at the Opera House of Dubai.

Five contestants, shortlisted from 16 semi-finalists, are running up for the grand prize after several elimination stages marked through the challenge’s reality TV show.

Hadeel Anwar from Sudan, Jumana Al Malki from Saudi Arabia, Fatima Al Zahra Akhyar from Morocco, Aya Boutreea from Tunisia, Abdul Aziz Al Khaldi from Kuwait were shortlisted after the elimination of UAE’s Mezna Najeeb and Algeria’s Naima Kabir.

This year’s Arab Reading Champion will take home will receive an award worth 388 thousand Tunisian dinars.

Education Minister Hatem Ben Salem praised Tunisia’s representative in this challenge Aya Bouteraa, unveiling that this challenge presented “a major role in reinforcing competence between the students in Arab countries and in disseminating the values of tolerance.”
