Several locals of Douar Hicher (Manouba governorate) voiced their anger, on the evening of Sunday, September 25, 2022, demonstrating against the high cost of living and the decline of purchasing power and claiming development, employment and improvement of living conditions.
The protesters assembled in front of the hospital, after having crisscrossed the main streets of the neighbourhood. They then set fire to tires, chanting slogans, including, “employment, freedom and national dignity” and calling on the authorities to improve their living conditions.
