Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Algeria’s former prime minister, has won the country’s presidential election after acquiring 58.15 %in the first round of elections, the electoral commission declared on Friday.
The five presidential nominees, that run for the elections were former prime ministers Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Ali Benflis, ex-culture minister Azzedddine Mihoubi, former tourism minister Abdelkader Bengrine, and Abdelaziz Belaid, a party leader.
