This Tuesday, the draw for the preliminary round of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers took place in Cairo, Egypt, at the CAF headquarters, with the 8 lowest-ranked African nations in the FIFA rankings (see video). And here is the ruling:
Somalia – Eswatini
Sao Tome – South Sudan
Chad – Mauritius
Djibouti – Liberia
These 4 posters will occur between March 20 and 26 in the form of round-trip matches. The 4 winners will advance to the qualifying group stage, while the final phase of AFCON 2025 will take place, possibly, from July 20 to August 16 or 17, 2025.
