After disclosing the dates for the Moroccan AFCON 2025 qualifiers, the CAF competitions commission revealed the date of the draw for these preliminary qualifiers for this prominent African football event. It will officially be Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
Remember that this draw will determine the confrontations for the preliminary round, involving the 12 lowest-ranked teams according to the most recent FIFA ranking, per the calendar already communicated to all CAF associations.
These 12 African teams impacted by this preliminary draw are Seychelles, Djibouti, Somalia, Sao Tome and Principe, Chad, Mauritius, South Sudan, Liberia, Eswatini, Lesotho, Botswana and Ethiopia.
